Creative Tracks to Explore -
Grades: Completed K-7th
This week campers explore the colorful world of dye! Students will experiment with classic tie dye techniques and also learn how colors can come from plants, flowers, and natural materials. Through hands on projects and creative pattern making, campers will discover how artists and cultures around the world have used natural dyes for centuries. Expect bright colors, surprising results, and plenty of wearable art. June 15-19
Week 2 focuses on drawing and observation, helping students slow down and really see the world around them. Campers will practice looking closely at everyday objects while learning about lines, shapes, proportion, and simple sketching techniques. Through fun drawing exercises and outdoor observation, students will discover how artists turn careful looking into creative art. June 22-26
This week we explore paint through color mixing, brush techniques, movement, and creative experimentation. Campers will try different tools, textures, and styles while learning how artists use paint to express ideas and emotions. Expect messy fun, big paper, and lots of imagination as students discover new ways to play with color. June 29-July 3
Week 4 is all about creativity with sculpting. Campers will learn basic hand building techniques while shaping, designing, and coloring their own unique creations. Through playful experimentation with texture, form, and tools, students will discover how ideas can take shape in three dimensions. July 20 -24
Week 5 focuses on building, design, and creative problem solving using cardboard and simple materials. Campers will learn basic construction and mechanical skills while designing their own structures, moving parts, and inventions. Through hands on building projects, students discover how art, engineering, and imagination work together. July 27 - 31
This week we take inspiration from the natural world around us. Campers will explore beaches, textures, shells, plants, and patterns found in nature while experimenting with watercolor techniques. Students will create outdoor inspired art using observation, natural materials, and the soft flowing qualities of watercolor paint. Expect calm creativity, exploration, and art inspired by the coast. August 3-7
Something mysterious has happened in the art studio. Campers must work together to solve puzzles, decode clues, and identify famous brushstrokes to uncover what went wrong. Through mystery games and creative challenges, students become art detectives while learning about famous artists and their styles. Expect teamwork, problem solving, and a week full of artistic intrigue. August 10-14
